Just in case you thought I was kidding, I wasn’t.  The Japanese LOVE the Genie from Aladdin.  So, since the genie had a thing for transforming into other people, they decided to mass-market the character into different Disney characters.  

Too bad they never licensed the Jack Nicholson Genie.  That might have been a weird one to bring back home.

Just so we know what Genie parodies we’re looking at here in the first picture…  Princess from the Aristocats, Pinocchio, Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey, the cursed African Tribal statue from the Japanese Tower of Terror, Jiminy Cricket, and Ariel.
